National Buddy Day

On Friday June 13th we celebrated National Buddy Day – this day is an opportunity for us to take a stand against bullying and show we are people who value getting along with others. It was also a great opportunity to share our learning with 1P: we shared our knowledge and learning about iPads while they enjoyed interacting with the technology. We look forward to more opportunities to share our learning with them.

‘Littering’ by Alyssa

One of the biggest threats to our planet is littering. I hope my exposition helps you to understand the consequences of littering and why everyone should make an effort to not litter.

The litter we drop goes through drains and then goes in to the ocean. It can then kill many different parts of marine life such as fish and small sharks or dolphins. It can kill them because of things like a fish looking for food in a plastic bag the fish will probably get caught, suffocate and die. If we continue to endanger these animals in future they may not even exist.

When we litter our world seems much more dirty and who would like to live in a dirty enviroment? If we continue to live like this future children might never know how beautiful this world once was.

As we all know littering causes germs and bacteria. These could cause more sicknesses and diseases. Doctor’s could take a fair amount of time to discover a cure for these sicknesses and diseases. When we already have the solution to stop littering!!!!!

In conclusion, I belive that if everyone makes a small effort we can save our marine life, wild life our enviroment and our future.

Showing the Face of Christ

During Lent and our preparation for the season of Easter, we have been talking about those people who live and act in the way that Jesus would want us to. We talked about how these people do or say things to make life easier or better for those around them. On our window we created a cross that shows some of the people in our lives that we believe show the face of Christ.
